This activity in the form of a presentation was organized by Bora, Kutay, and Melisa at our association’s office on December 6, 2023. The event drew a total of 20 participants, 7 of them were youth workers from our office and 13 volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). The venue provided an interactive space where both youth workers and ESC volunteers actively engaged in the activity and presentation, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among the diverse group of participants.
First, we began with a presentation about Erasmus+ and our experience in Krushevo. Some of our ESC volunteers didn’t know everything about Erasmus+ so this was a great opportunity for them to learn more about it. Presentation had information about our program in Krushevo and it had some of the moments that has been captured during the project. We also show them the learning techniques for comedy and jokes that we learned in Krushevo. We used the materials from the Toolbox we created during the project as the main inspiration for our presentation and workshop. The main aim here was the usage of theater as a way of expressing emotions and addressing social issues. My other team members Melisa and Kutay talked about what did they like about Erasmus+ projects and non-formal education.
After we finished our presentation, the next step was our activity about secret friend. The participants got a paper to draw their faces while paper is on their face. then they chose a paper from the bag to know who their secret friend is. After this we used the wall of our office to hang the envelopes and the papers once all this finished, they are instructed about how secret friend works. We told them to not to give their gift to their friend directly but instead they can give it with another friend’s help if it is not a thing that they can put to the envelopes. Another process that we added is about exchanging the thing they received lately with more valuable thing when the project of volunteers is about to finish.
The result of the presentation looks positive because some of volunteers only knew Erasmus+ as a studying abroad opportunity. The result that we want to achieve is creating an excitement for our volunteers to visit office more often and it looks like we achieved that because they were happy and their feedback about the activity was positive. We will receive better results in the next few weeks.
